June Principal Report for Website
We have come to the final month of school but you would never know it looking at the weather. Like the previous nine months, June will be busy and we do have some “Special” days.
On Monday the 14th we celebrate our “Feast Day” and so there will be no school that day. Enjoy the three day weekend! Friday the 18th is our Play Day and hopefully we will not be able to find a “Dunk Tank” as I am afraid that I will freeze to death. Dismissal for that day will be at 12:15 pm.
We would like to take this opportunity to announce and introduce our new school secretary, Ms. Angela Vossen. Ms. Vossen is replacing Mrs. Trotic who is retiring at the end of this school year. Angela is currently working closely with Mrs. Trotic, learning all the ins and outs of the job. Thank you for making her feel welcome.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome three new Parish Education Committee members - Deirdre Bostock, Greg Accili and Wayne Fraser. Our sincerest thanks to the three members who are leaving the committee at the end of this school year – Paul Krueger, Brian Godlonton and Grant Cameron. On behalf of the staff, students and parents of Sacred Heart, many thanks to you for all your hard work and efforts to make our school the best place it can possibly be.
Volunteers are such an integral part to our school community and in our Appreciation Mass last Friday and again we say “Thank you, for all that you do.”
Our Farewell Mass for our Grade Seven students and parents will be Monday, June 28th at 6:00 p.m. followed by a dinner. The last day of school for the students will be Tuesday, June 29th with a 10:30 dismissal.
